This Privacy Policy explains how MytuPlayer collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application (the "Application"). A. Personal Data
We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any Personal Identifiable Information (PII). Since there is no user account creation or registration process, your identity remains completely anonymous to us.
B. Local Media and Storage Data
To provide local media browsing, playback, and playlist management services, MytuPlayer accesses media files (videos, audio files, and playlists) stored locally on your device.
Local Processing Only: All media file scanning, playlist creation, metadata extraction (such as thumbnail generation, video resolution, duration, and audio track details), and playback operations are conducted entirely on your local device.
We do not upload, backup, transmit, or copy your local media files or playlists to any external servers, third parties, or cloud storage solutions owned by us.
2. Device Permissions Requested
To deliver full functionality, MytuPlayer requests specific device permissions. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time via your device settings.
- Storage Permission / Media Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO): Required exclusively to scan, read, and play local video and audio files stored on your device, and to organize them into user-managed playlists.
- Network Permission (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used strictly for core application network connectivity check requirements (if applicable) or default engine communication. The application does not upload or stream your personal media over the network.
- Foreground Service Permission (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Required to enable continuous audio/video playback in the background when the Application is minimized or when your device screen is turned off.
- Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Permission: Required to allow video playback in a floating window while you navigate other applications on your device.
3. Data Security
Because all media playback data, playlist configurations, and settings remain locally on your device and no personal data is collected or transmitted to our servers, the primary security of your data depends on your device's security controls. We encourage you to keep your device secure through passcodes, biometric locks, and up-to-date operating system security patches.
4. Children's Privacy
Our Application does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). Because MytuPlayer operates completely offline regarding data storage and does not collect personal data, we do not gather information from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can verify and take appropriate measures.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy within the Application or on our official distribution channel.
